Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Student Accounts Representative to join our team at Sarah Lawrence College. As a key member of our financial services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of student account information and delivering exceptional customer service to our students, parents, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage student accounts, including billing and payment processing, refunds, and tuition adjustments.
  • Provide high-level customer service through in-person consultations, phone conversations, and written communications.
  • Collaborate with campus partners, including the Office of Financial Aid, Registrar, and Housing, to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Utilize information technology systems to record and report on student account activities.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in student accounts or a comparable customer service role.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply regulatory and compliance policies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and account management technology.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in higher education student accounts or other student services.
  • Familiarity with college billing and refund policies, institutional and FERPA confidentiality regulations, and Federal Title IV cash management regulations.
