Job Title: Registered Nurse - Burn Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Burn Unit team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals recovering from burn injuries.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Burn Unit will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment. Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to individuals recovering from burn injuries, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care.
  • Document patient progress, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in burn care and patient safety.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
  • Experience in burn care or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
