Job Summary

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is seeking a highly skilled Contract, Grant, and Policy Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Contracts and Grants Unit, you will play a critical role in supporting the administration of high-profile programs that provide life-saving medications and insurance premium assistance to eligible individuals living with or at risk of HIV in California.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and programs that promote public health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the ADAP Branch with responsibility for account management of key contracts, grants, and policy work.
  • Work under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I to carry out high-level assignments in the Contracts and Grants Unit.
  • Collaborate with management, team, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery and effective monitoring of contract deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, grantees, and community partners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of contract and grant management principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
