Job Summary

The Contract Specialist is a critical role within AECOM, responsible for assisting with the delivery of third-party agreements from inception to completion under the direction of the Third-Party Agreements Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft complex agreements between the client and entities whose facilities conflict with the plan.
  • Support the negotiation of complex agreements directly with stakeholders.
  • Support staff in the negotiation of Third-Party Agreements.
  • Support the drafting of Third-Party Agreements and Real Property Branch Templates.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures for Third Party Agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Lead meetings, give key stakeholder presentations, and maintain detailed records.
Requirements
  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) and Bachelor's degree in business, law or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in contract drafting and negotiations.
  • 1+ years of project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the California High-Speed Rail Authority Right-of-Way Manual, California State Contracting Manual, Caltrans Utility Relocation Manual, Design-Build Contracts, Federal Statutes, California State Statutes and Project Management Techniques.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
