Process Engineer

GavinHeath is collaborating with a client seeking to enhance their team with a Process Engineer. This role is a Direct Hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the installation and initiation of SCR systems.
  • Act as a site engineer, engineering coordinator, and start-up engineer for various systems.
  • Innovate new equipment and methodologies, including the selection and assessment of hardware and software.
  • Impart operational knowledge to SCR clients through training sessions, publications, discussions, and presentations.
  • Utilize extensive SCR experience to mentor new employees on the SCR process.
  • Propose enhancements for SCR equipment and operational processes.
  • Address diverse technical inquiries from existing and potential SCR clients as well as new hires.
  • Generate daily progress reports during start-ups and field service engagements.
  • Document site visits through detailed trip reports.
  • Manage the erection, commissioning, and initiation of SCR projects as necessary.
  • Supervise teams, manage site projects, plan, schedule, ensure budget adherence, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in interpreting design information from various documents, including vendor and SCR schematics, operational manuals, and maintenance guides.
  • Committed to the successful completion of projects.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible to accommodate a wide range of tasks and personalities.
  • Familiarity with AutoCad is beneficial, but a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Knowledgeable about the major subsystems of copper and aluminum rod mills.
  • Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, with a focus on mechanical or chemical engineering and process engineering.
  • Proficiency in languages such as Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian is a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, up to 50%, for extended periods.
  • Capable of managing extensive project documentation and drafting procedures and manuals. Must possess the ability to recall, locate, summarize, and communicate effectively with SCR clients.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing project requirements.
