Process Engineer

GavinHeath is collaborating with a client seeking to enhance their team with a Process Engineer. This position is a Direct Hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the installation and initiation of SCR systems.
  • Act as a site engineer, engineering coordinator, and start-up engineer for systems.
  • Innovate new equipment and methodologies, including the selection and assessment of hardware and software.
  • Transfer operational expertise to SCR clients through training, publications, discussions, presentations, and various communication methods.
  • Leverage extensive SCR experience to mentor new employees on the SCR process.
  • Propose enhancements for SCR equipment and processes.
  • Address diverse technical inquiries from existing and potential SCR clients as well as new hires.
  • Generate daily progress reports during start-ups and field service engagements.
  • Compose trip reports following client visits.
  • Responsible for the erection, commissioning, and initiation of SCR Projects as necessary.
  • Supervise others, manage site projects, plan, schedule, ensure budget compliance, and coordinate with clients and sub-suppliers.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in conveying design information from various documents, including vendor and SCR drawings, operational manuals, and maintenance guides.
  • Dedicated to achieving successful project completion.
  • Must exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet rapidly changing requirements due to the diverse tasks and personalities encountered.
  • Familiarity with AutoCad is not mandatory, but a willingness to learn is preferred.
  • Must possess knowledge of all major subsystems of copper and aluminum rod mills.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in industrial, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering is required, with a focus on mechanical or chemical engineering and process engineering.
  • Fluency in languages such as Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian is a desirable asset, though not required.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, up to 50%, for extended periods is essential. The Process Engineer must demonstrate tenacity and the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of international clients.
  • Must manage extensive project documentation and develop procedures and manuals, with the ability to recall, locate, summarize, and communicate answers to inquiries from SCR clients.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are crucial due to the variety of tasks required.
