Position Overview
The Maintenance Reliability Supervisor is accountable for executing and enhancing predictive and preventative maintenance strategies that guarantee equipment and process dependability. Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production by providing effective leadership to the team responsible for equipment repair and maintenance. Maintain equipment in optimal condition through a premier preventative maintenance program. Establish key performance indicators that promote continuous improvement in both personnel and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential functions of this role. This list is not exhaustive, as all positions within the organization are dynamic and may evolve based on customer needs. The individual in this position is expected to undertake any duties assigned by management, regardless of whether such duties are explicitly included in this list.
- Guide team members in the repair of electrical and mechanical systems, components, and machinery, adhering to relevant codes, manuals, and schematics.
- Organize and delegate daily maintenance tasks for production equipment through work orders, ensuring completion.
- Schedule maintenance technicians and manage the database for equipment calibrations.
- Lead and support team members in diagnosing machinery malfunctions using testing equipment and collaborating with other maintenance personnel for accurate diagnosis.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives within the team.
- Identify and replace defective mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery.
- Collaborate with operations team members to assess existing equipment and process deficiencies, making necessary modifications to achieve objectives.
- Oversee the inventory and utilization of spare parts and maintenance supplies, initiating reorders as needed.
- Develop vendor relationships to secure optimal pricing for maintenance supplies.
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and recommend improvements for operational efficiency and maintenance challenges.
- Ensure maintenance staff are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to perform tasks safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
- Manage a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders and maintenance history.
- Monitor, analyze, and enhance key maintenance metrics such as asset utilization and maintenance costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
- Demonstrated technical supervisory experience.
- Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical systems with electronic controls.
- Five years of experience with electrical systems in manufacturing.
- Five years of experience with mechanical systems in manufacturing.
- Experience with digital controls troubleshooting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to read specifications and blueprints.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Word and Excel.
