TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Up to 50% travel is expected, including international destinations such as China and Eastern Europe. This may involve extended trips lasting up to a month.
Responsibilities include setting up equipment and collaborating with local teams to troubleshoot and optimize operational efficiency.
A valid passport is necessary. Essential Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years in process engineering or operations management within industrial processing systems.Preferred experience includes combustion management systems and molten metal processing systems.
This position is highly hands-on.
International travel is a key component of this role, requiring up to 50% of the time.
Job Overview: The Senior Process Engineer will oversee the erection, commissioning, and initiation of SCR projects as needed.Familiarity with the major subsystems of copper and aluminum rod mills is essential for serving our clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise the installation and initiation of SCR systems.
- Act as a site engineer, engineering coordinator, and start-up engineer for systems.
- Innovate new equipment and methodologies, including the selection and assessment of hardware and software.
- Transfer operational knowledge to SCR clients through training, documentation, discussions, and presentations.
This individual, due to their extensive experience with SCR, will often be called upon to mentor new employees regarding the SCR process.
- Propose enhancements for SCR equipment and processes.- Address a variety of technical inquiries from existing and potential SCR clients as well as new staff.
- Generate daily progress reports during start-ups and field service visits.
- Document findings and insights following customer interactions.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in communicating design information derived from various documents, including vendor and SCR schematics, operational manuals, and maintenance guides.
- Ability to concentrate efforts on the successful completion of projects.- Given the diverse range of tasks and personalities encountered, this individual must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing demands.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is not mandatory, but a willingness to learn is preferred.Educational Background:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in industrial, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering is required, with knowledge in mechanical or chemical engineering and process engineering.
- Proficiency in languages such as Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian is a desirable asset, though not required.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- International travel is necessary, up to 50%, for several weeks at a time.
- The Senior Process Engineer must possess resilience and the ability to collaborate with a diverse array of international clients.
Supervision:
- This role requires minimal supervision to manage the wide variety of tasks effectively.
Documentation:
- Responsible for managing extensive project documentation and drafting procedures and manuals.
- Must be capable of recalling, locating, summarizing, and communicating responses to inquiries from SCR clients.
Adaptability:
- Due to the diverse range of tasks required, this individual must be highly flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing conditions.
Project Management:
- Involves planning for project erection and commissioning.
