Market Development Manager

As a key member of our team, the Market Manager will be responsible for driving sales and distribution growth in the assigned market. This role requires a strong understanding of the beverage alcohol industry and the ability to develop and execute strategies to maximize distribution, shelf space, and merchandising efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement distributor programs to identify, target, and market to existing and potential accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, ensuring they are well-informed of company initiatives and have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
- Track and measure performance against key priorities, using data and analytics to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to develop and execute the distributor's Annual Business Plan and the overall strategic sales plan for the market.
- Provide day-to-day management, development, and training of Field Sales Reps within the market.
- Coordinate market blitzes and other promotional activities to drive sales and distribution growth.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of sales activity and results, providing regular updates to the Regional Sales Director.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry, preferably within the beer category.
- Proven track record of success in sales and distribution growth, with a strong understanding of the 3-tier system.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and analytics to inform business decisions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
The Market Manager must be able to perform the duties of the job, which may require frequent travel, lifting, and moving of objects up to 25 pounds. The position also requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle stressors associated with the job.
