As we evolve from a real estate entity to a customer-centric organization, we are in search of a Customer Service Specialist who will manage the fulfillment of online orders and assist shoppers with inquiries related to promotional programs and purchases. This role offers flexibility through a hybrid work arrangement, aligning with Tanger's modern, team-oriented approach.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will:

  • Serve as the primary contact for the Marketing Customer Service phone line, addressing customer inquiries, assisting with order processing, and tracking orders as necessary.
  • Respond to online customer inquiries from various web forms, including questions about promotional programs and order processing.
  • Document frequently asked questions and collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the website for improved customer experience.
  • Oversee the fulfillment of web orders, including:
    • Gift card orders, including activation, packaging, and shipping.
    • TangerClub membership orders, including packaging and shipping.
    • Coupon book orders, ensuring accurate crediting for TangerClub members.
    • Pink Card orders (seasonal).
    • Coordination of miscellaneous or seasonal products sold online.
  • Familiarize yourself with the order process from submission to payment and shipping confirmations.
  • Provide insights on efficiencies and data discrepancies to enhance processes.
  • Conduct monthly inventory checks of gift cards at corporate and nationwide centers.
  • Assist the marketing department with administrative tasks, including filing, copying, and updating spreadsheets.
  • Support executives with phone backup as needed and contribute to team efforts by achieving related results.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with three (3) or more years of experience in customer service; five (5) years is preferred.
  • The ability to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Strong skills in handling challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • A proactive approach to identifying service improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical skills to identify root causes of issues.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending the English language.
  • A commitment to embracing diversity in people, thought, and style to enhance value for our customers and retail partners.
