Job Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY

In collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager and under the direct oversight of the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse, the Surgical Technologist (ST) plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective execution of surgical procedures.

The ST possesses in-depth knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniques, adhering to the nursing practice standards set forth by the relevant unit/department, as well as the regulations and standards established by the State Board of Nursing, the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, AORN, AST, and pertinent specialty organizations that cater to the patient demographic.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Background:

  • Associate's degree in Surgical Technology
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist
Experience

  • Preferred clinical experience in an acute care environment as a Surgical Technologist
