Position Overview
The Senior Civil Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in implementing our organization's long-term strategy. This position is responsible for overseeing the identification and management of civil engineering challenges as we enhance our manufacturing networks. The individual will leverage their expertise in civil engineering and infrastructure to collaborate closely with external engineers, architects, and contractors, ensuring that all plans receive the necessary stakeholder validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategies to verify the precision of assumptions and designs provided by external engineers and architects.
- Provide both functional and technical support for the design and execution of network transformation initiatives aligned with the strategic vision.
- Supervise activities related to technical innovations, including scheduling and resolving design and testing challenges.
- Manage project expenditures and budgets, adhering to a zero-based budgeting methodology.
- Prepare comprehensive reports during and after project completion.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in strict accordance with the project scope.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- 7-10 years of experience in project management, particularly in civil engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing construction and infrastructure projects.
- Excels in a fast-paced work environment alongside motivated colleagues.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to comprehend and implement long-term strategic initiatives.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of fostering effective professional relationships.
- Adept at managing relationships to cultivate partnerships within the organization and with external suppliers.
- Proficient in negotiating and influencing business decisions and facilitating organizational change.
- Quickly grasps organizational dynamics and effectively navigates both formal and informal networks.
- Highly skilled in prioritizing tasks, removing obstacles, and maintaining focus.
- Preferred: PE/PMP License.
Work Environment & Schedule
This role is primarily office-based with occasional travel required to engage with clients and production facilities. The office environment features open workspaces, and in-office attendance is expected at least three days a week.
