KDM Engineering, a minority- and woman-owned professional engineering firm, seeks a seasoned Sr. Civil Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a project team of professional engineers and designers on site civil engineering projects.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve complex civil engineering-related issues.
  • Lead the coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of civil engineering work.
  • Prepare, review, and/or approve proposals, contracts, or cost estimates.
  • Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with sub-consultants and clients.
  • Oversee designs for underground and overhead power installations.
  • Ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Interact with vendors to prepare materials and equipment purchase specifications for client recommendations.
  • Research available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems for project designs.
  • Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information in a clear and concise manner and meeting client requirements.
  • Perform independent reviews of work performed by others, including calculations and drawing preparation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience.
  • PE license preferred.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in Civil3D.
