HBK Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Professional Civil Engineer to lead our project teams in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing utility systems. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, providing leadership, and assessing project deadlines and financial expenditures for large-scale engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and leadership. They will be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical information to stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and work with a team to identify all project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Prepare budgets, bids, contracts, funding requests, and communication plans
  • Manage, supervise, and schedule execution of projects
  • Monitor projects' productivity, quality, and progress
  • Develop and maintain external client relationships
  • Ensure project safety and remain within projects' cost constraints
  • Lead, support and direct project managers, and assistants in planning, scheduling, and implementation of designs and testing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry
  • Professional Engineering license required
  • Technical expertise related to managing projects in the public right-of-way in our industry
  • Technical expertise related to managing site development projects
  • Previous engineering, design or construction management experience
  • Experience with site civil grading and stormwater design
  • Experience with roadway and infrastructure design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Bentley design software
  • Experience obtaining approvals from jurisdictional authorities

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to adhere to strict safety regulations
  • Ability to implement and maintain policies
  • Strong technical writing ability
  • Ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office products
