Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Neurological Institute team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing top-quality patient care to diverse populations under the direction of our registered nurses, physicians, and specialists.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients.
  • Contribute observations and health information to the nursing assessment and report all data to the RN or authorized directing healthcare provider.
  • Implement the current plan of nursing care at the direction of the RN, or the medication or treatment authorized by the authorized directing healthcare provider.
  • Document and verbally communicate the patient's response to the nursing plan of care, or the medication or treatment, including observing patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and performing routine laboratory tests.
  • Contribute to the revision of the nursing plan of care.
  • Provide education and information to patients and family members.
  • Maintain professional growth and development within the nursing field.
  • Participate in the departmental orientation of new employees in a positive manner, share knowledge, experiences, and provide guidance when assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing.
  • Current Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
Work Environment
