Node is dedicated to supporting a U.S. Government client by providing essential assistance for on-site incident management to civilian agencies and critical asset proprietors facing cyber threats. This role involves immediate investigation and resolution of security incidents.

Contract personnel will conduct inquiries to assess the impact of security breaches, formulate mitigation strategies, and aid in the restoration of services. Node is in search of a Cybersecurity Operations Manager to contribute to this vital mission.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing the information security framework of the lab.
  • Aid in identifying the current security infrastructure and defining future initiatives, including the design and implementation of security measures related to lab systems.
  • Support security personnel in designing, developing, engineering, and implementing solutions to meet security requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and development of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) IT security protocols.
  • Collect and organize technical data regarding the lab's mission objectives, existing security solutions, and ongoing initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and analyses to evaluate potential vulnerabilities.
  • Provide guidance in planning, coordinating, and executing the lab's information security strategies.
  • Assist in identifying the lab's current security infrastructure and defining future programs, including the design and implementation of security measures.
  • Demonstrate expertise across multiple complex assignments, requiring innovative approaches to task completion.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge to key tasks and high-impact projects.
  • Lead significant technology initiatives.
  • Assess performance outcomes and recommend substantial changes to enhance project growth and success.
  • Serve as a technical authority across various project assignments.

Essential Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in information security.
  • Familiarity with Computer Network Defense (CND) policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Understanding of defense-in-depth principles and network security architecture.
  • Knowledge of boundary protection and enclaving techniques.
  • Proficiency in authentication and access management technologies.
  • Understanding of business security practices, current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, encryption techniques, and familiarity with commercial products and lab infrastructure technology.
  • Capability to function as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various locations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
  • Skills in cybersecurity, including threat detection and response.
  • Advanced understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience with Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; or a high school diploma with 4-6 years of information security experience.

Certifications:
Preferred certifications include CISCO, CISM, CISSP.
