Cyber Incident Manager Job Description

BCMC, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Incident Manager to support our critical customer mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and responding to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring the protection of our customer's assets and data.

Responsibilities:
  • Correlate incident data to identify trends and patterns in reported incidents
  • Recommend defense-in-depth principles and practices to enhance security
  • Perform incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and potential impact
  • Research and compile known resolution steps or workarounds to mitigate potential incidents
  • Apply cybersecurity concepts to detect and defend against intrusions into IT networks
  • Monitor external data sources to maintain currency of threat conditions and identify potential security issues
  • Identify the cause of an incident and gather information from external entities
  • Track and document incidents from initial detection through final resolution
  • Provide support during assigned shifts
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • DHS Suitability
  • 5+ years of directly relevant experience in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations
  • Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies
  • Familiarity with NIST and FISMA standards
  • Knowledge of the NCCIC National Cyber Incident Scoring System
  • Knowledge of general attack stages and vulnerabilities
  • Basic system administration and operating system hardening techniques
  • Knowledge of different operational threat environments
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities
Education:

BS in Incident Management, Operations Management, Cybersecurity, or related field. HS Diploma with 7-9 years of incident management or cybersecurity experience.

Certifications:

GCIH, GCFA, GISP, GCED, CCFP, or CISSP
