At the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to join our team. As an IT Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the agency's mission to protect the nation's critical infrastructure and cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage program/project resources, allocation plans, workforce development plans, budget forecasts, initiatives, and policies.
- Oversee one or more large information technology programs to provide products and/or services.
- Execute duties governing hardware, software, and information system acquisition programs and other program management policies.
- Consult with customers to evaluate functional requirements and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop policy or advocate for changes in policy that will support new initiatives or required changes/enhancements.
- Ensure that the work effort achieves the outcome as specified within the IT business strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish the enterprise continuity of operations program, strategy, and mission assurance.
- You must be a U.S. citizen.
- Selective Service - Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- All Federal employees are required to participate in Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer for salary payments.
- DHS uses E-Verify, an Internet-based system, to confirm the eligibility of all newly hired employees to work in the United States.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance suitable for Federal employment as determined by a background investigation.
- This may include a credit check, a review of financial issues, as well as certain criminal offenses and illegal use or possession of drugs.
- One-year probationary period may be required.
- Experience must be Information Technology (IT)-related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
- You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
- In addition to meeting the qualification requirement listed above, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower GS-grade level (or equivalent).
