Position Overview:

Role Responsibilities:
In the capacity of a Service Component Command EOD Planner, you will leverage your leadership skills and subject matter knowledge to collaborate with industry experts on initiatives within the Indo-Pacific Area of Responsibility. Your contributions will include:

  • Providing strategic input on Army and Joint explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), counter-improvised explosive device (C-IED), and technical exploitation policies and programs.
  • Facilitating Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), conferences, and working groups while addressing Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Engaging in the development, analysis, and evaluation of policies and processes that align with client needs.
  • Supporting initiatives related to security cooperation and organizational assessments at both institutional and operational levels.
  • Contributing to the synchronization of efforts across various functional areas within a matrix organization.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations for senior military stakeholders.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) or Joint Planning.
  • At least 4 years of operational planning experience at the Division, Corps, Theater, Combatant Command, or Joint Staff level.
  • Familiarity with Theater Campaign Plans and National Strategic guidance.
  • In-depth knowledge of EOD and C-IED planning and policy.
  • The capability to advance planning efforts from conceptualization to execution, including senior-level operational briefings.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
  • A Top Secret security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Graduation from Explosive Ordinance Disposal School.

Preferred Qualifications:
It would be advantageous to have:

  • 4 years of experience addressing challenges specific to the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility.
  • Experience with Weapons Technical Intelligence related to INDOPACOM policies.
  • Familiarity with Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA).
  • Experience in collaborative problem-solving both independently and within teams.
  • Skills in facilitating diverse working groups and meetings.
  • Knowledge of the US Army Protection Warfighting Function and Multi-Domain Operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for high-level presentations.
  • Completion of Military Education Level 4 Qualification Course or equivalent.

Security Clearance:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is mandatory.

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience, with a projected compensation range of $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 annually.
