Work Location: Washington, DC and Reston, VA

Advantage SCI is in search of a skilled Threat Analyst to join our esteemed Global Security Division. The selected candidate will act as a subject matter expert, responsible for the systematic collection and evaluation of intelligence and counterintelligence data. This role is crucial in identifying potential threats posed by foreign intelligence services, criminal organizations, and terrorist entities to our operational areas.

The analyst will engage regularly with various defense and intelligence agencies, conducting thorough link analyses of threat reports to ascertain connections to potential terrorist or extremist activities that may impact agency assets and operations. Furthermore, the analyst will facilitate liaisons to enhance access to pertinent intelligence aligned with the mission needs of the Global Security Division.

The responsibilities include:

  • Assisting team members in crafting threat advisories and protective intelligence assessments regarding personnel, operations, and leadership.
  • Gathering both short-term and long-term metrics on threat reporting relevant to designated areas of interest.
  • Participating in internal mission briefings and synchronization meetings to share critical threat intelligence.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in threat analysis and evaluation.
  • Proficient in utilizing analytical tools to gather information pertinent to threats from hostile intelligence services and terrorist organizations.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a collaborative customer environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong administrative and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • Capability to deliver comprehensive presentations, both oral and written, to support Global Security Division missions and educate personnel on threats.
  • Expertise in analyzing terrorist threat data and recognizing asymmetrical threats to U.S. operations.
  • Possession of a TS/SCI clearance and successful completion of CI Polygraph.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  • Experience within the Defense Intelligence Agency is advantageous.
  • Must hold a valid certification in PII and Cyber Awareness Challenge from the Information Assurance Support Environment (valid within 30 days of hire).

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capable of stooping, kneeling, bending, and reaching daily.
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
  • Noise level: Low to moderate.
