Position Overview

The Rallye Motor Company, a leading name in luxury automotive services, is in search of a skilled Shop Foreman for Rallye Lexus. The Shop Foreman plays a critical role in ensuring the excellence of service operations by effectively utilizing all available resources within the service department. This position serves as a vital link between service advisors and technicians, as well as a coordinator and technical consultant for recurring shop repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and foster repeat service business by guaranteeing that vehicles are repaired and maintained correctly, emphasizing the principle of 'fixed right the first time.'
  • Stay informed about Lexus products and services, enhancing professional and technical knowledge through on-the-job training and participation in training programs.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of tools, equipment, and shop supplies.
  • Oversee the service department's operations in accordance with safety and aesthetic standards set by Rallye and Lexus, as well as relevant governmental regulations.
  • Comply with all Federal and State regulations regarding automobile repair and consumer protection.
  • Assist in the allocation of repair orders and the planning of work distribution among technicians.
  • Monitor the quality of work in progress and provide assistance to technicians with technical challenges.
  • Supply technicians and service advisors with essential technical information and repair protocols.
  • Continuously enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Service Department through in-center training and coaching of technicians.
  • Facilitate the technical knowledge of staff by organizing training sessions for service technicians, including attendance at Lexus training seminars and workshops.
  • Support the Service Manager with matters related to personnel, facilities, tools, or equipment that may impact productivity, efficiency, work quality, or customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate communication, processes, and relationships with the Service Manager, Service Advisors, Parts Manager, and Parts Counter Personnel.
  • Engage with customers to address vehicle issues that have proven challenging to diagnose.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and clean Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lexus automotive technician.
  • Strong mechanical skills and manual dexterity.
  • Experience in supervising, coaching, delegating, and training technicians.
  • Proficient understanding of all shop equipment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and information.
  • Must obtain 8 ASE certifications upon hiring.
