Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and emptying trash and recycling bins.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and brooms.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed, including paper products, cleaning solutions, and personal care items.
  • Assist with special events and projects, such as setup and teardown of events, and maintenance of outdoor facilities.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to cleaning schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and students, providing excellent customer service and responding to concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
