Position SummaryThe Litigation Paralegal position is designed to provide critical support to Attorneys within the Litigation Practice Department. This role involves working closely with the Director of Litigation Technology and Support, primarily based in the San Francisco office, while also offering assistance in various other locations as needed.
Primary Responsibilities- Overseeing the document production workflow, which includes gathering materials, ensuring proper chain of custody, and preparing legal documents.
- Performing in-depth research, evaluating documents, and synthesizing information for case preparation.
- Coordinating the drafting and submission of briefs and legal filings, while liaising with different stakeholders.
- Managing litigation support systems and preparing witnesses for depositions.
- Facilitating trial preparation and providing support during trials, including managing vendor relationships.
- A Bachelor's Degree or an ABA-approved paralegal certificate is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing trial offices outside the primary location.
- Proficiency in legal technology and document management systems is essential.
- Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills are required.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to engage in hands-on tasks as necessary.
- Experience in complex litigation and familiarity with litigation support software.
- A proven track record of identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and management capabilities.
- Creativity, initiative, and a willingness to travel or work extended hours when needed.
