Event EMS Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event EMS Supervisor to join our team in NYC. As an Event EMS Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our EMS services in event settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve issues and inquiries from field personnel regarding work assignments, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Respond to emergency situations as part of the EMS system, providing quality care and meeting compliance standards.
  • Develop and implement coordinated teamwork between field crews to achieve clinical performance goals.
  • Investigate and resolve customer service inquiries from fire departments, hospitals, and patients regarding field employee performance and patient care.
  • Approve or disapprove shift exchanges, ensuring continuity of service and forwarding changes to the scheduling coordinator.
  • Coordinate EMS system availability during disaster situations or MCI incidents, assisting as directed by the incident commander.
  • Respond to Haz-Mat calls, unusual circumstances, or calls with multiple units responding.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts to ensure continued high-level service and forward changes to the scheduler.
  • Maintain knowledge of company policies, regulations, and EMS protocols, ensuring consistency in interpretation and application.
  • Maintain an open-door policy with field employees, encouraging discussion and suggestions for improvement.
  • Participate in new employee orientation and coordinate with field training officers and clinical managers to identify clinical opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between field personnel, Manager of Operations, and General Manager, meeting with Supervisors to schedule platoon meetings and provide follow-up.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, resolving daily issues and supporting field personnel to ensure adherence to MedicWest Ambulance standards.
  • Oversee Operations Supervisors, maintain training in administrative duties, and daily operations, and assist in the oversight of Support Services and Dispatch.
  • Oversee Investigations and Employee Performance issues, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, counsel, and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and facilitate individual and team development.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current and valid EMT/Paramedic certification, state-approved CPR certification, BLS card, and Drivers License are all required.
  • 2 to 3 years field experience as EMT/Paramedic required, with prior EMS supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Effective oral, written, and inter-personal communication skills, proficient understanding of county/state geography, protocols, procedures, and policies, as well as CrowdRx's policies, procedures, and health and safety manual.
