The Chief of Early Childhood Programs is entrusted with the leadership and management of the Early Learning initiatives at Catholic Charities. This role encompasses oversight of the Regional Directors of Early Learning Provider Services and Family Services, ensuring fiscal responsibility across all Early Learning contracts.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sign-On Incentive: $15,000, payable over two years.

Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 available.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Development:

  • Guide the ongoing development of strategic early learning partnerships across Central Washington.
  • Foster collaborations with educational institutions, community organizations, and state agencies.
  • Support the creation of proposals for early learning initiatives with various funding sources.
  • Collaborate with Data and Quality Assurance teams to ensure timely completion of contractual obligations.
  • Enhance the quality of childcare services through the Early Achievers program.
  • Support professional development and training initiatives for childcare providers.
  • Advocate for Child Care Aware and Early Learning services at all levels.

Coaching and Supervision:

  • Provide guidance and performance evaluations for Regional Directors.
  • Assist in the recruitment process for new team members.

Marketing and Communication:

  • Ensure effective communication of Early Learning programs through various channels.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage the preparation and monitoring of program budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and timely billing of contracts.

Confidentiality and Compliance:

  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline required.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Early Learning Management, including grant writing, budgeting, and policy compliance.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Washington State Early Childhood systems.
  • Exceptional communication and partnership development skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred.

Licensure:

  • Valid Washington State driver's license required.

Employment Conditions:

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory.
