Position: Project Engineer

Location: Lafayette, IN

Contract Duration: 12+ months

Compensation: $45-$55/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assignments will be allocated based on individual expertise, ensuring effective coordination among various disciplines for the successful execution of projects. This role will focus on the systems integration of manufacturing equipment and the necessary support services for equipment and building operations, particularly in structural aspects including crane systems and lifting devices.
  • Developing technical specifications and functional requirements for projects related to facilities. Evaluating the acceptability of new industrial equipment based on specifications and recommending modifications as needed.
  • Complying with established standards, policies, and practices regarding quality, cost efficiency, safety, hazardous materials, and ergonomics in all assigned tasks.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Creo 3D CAD modeling and drawing software or equivalent applications (such as Inventor/Solidworks).
  • Strong communication skills and a fundamental understanding of the functions performed by skilled trades personnel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration abilities.
  • Capability to foster strong relationships with various stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
