Service Engineer

Job Summary
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Service Engineer to join our team in Lafayette, IN. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and servicing a variety of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), machine tools, and accessories.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and machine maintenance, including diagnosis, repairs, certifications, and re-calibration of various machines at customer sites
- Perform service calls at customer sites to correct problems involving company products, diagnose and correct issues
- Provide technical support to other service representatives and customers
- Ensure prompt preparation and completion of service and expense reporting related to assigned duties
- Provide exceptional customer satisfaction while representing Hexagon in a professional manner
- Assembly, disassembly, leveling, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical issues
- Diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of control systems
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of technical courses and experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Mechanical, electrical, computer, and software experience
- Excellent customer service
- 100% travel required
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit for long periods of time with regularly bending and kneeling
- Manual dexterity required for keyboard use, operating office equipment, grasping objects
- Regularly move around the customers' worksites
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and adjust focus
- Frequently communicates with other employees and customers
Work Environment
- Primarily visits customers' worksites, with occasional visits to the office
- Equipment is kept clean, orderly, properly inspected for accurate functionality
- Noise levels are considered low to moderate
- If required, PPE will be provided
- Requires travel to customers' worksites up to 100%
