Electrical Sales Territory Manager

As a key member of the Graybar team, the Electrical Sales Territory Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and exceeding budget targets in the Electrical market. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement effective business plans, manage a team of sales reps, and implement the district's market plan(s) to achieve sales and marketing objectives.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to attain or exceed sales and gross margin rate budgets for the Electrical sales territory.
- Manage a team of sales reps and a sales support team to ensure effective execution of sales plans and strategies.
- Collaborate with district marketing to identify strategic suppliers and develop assigned sales territory business plans.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Implement the sales management process, utilizing sales rep business plans, pre-call plans, and post-call coaching debriefs.
- Evaluate industry and business trends for potential impact on the district and identify key business opportunities and potential threats within the assigned sales territory.
- Provide guidance and support in the retention of profitable business and ensure effective recruiting, staffing, employee development, performance management, and succession planning programs in Electrical.
- Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate tools and training programs within the assigned sales territory to support the Electrical business growth.
**Requirements:**
- Progressively responsible business or wholesale distribution industry experience.
- Knowledge of the Company's business, customers, suppliers, and external market conditions.
- Knowledge of the Electrical business, Company's policies and procedures, financial analysis methods and techniques, and continuous improvement techniques and practices.
- Planning and organizational skills, ability to effectively supervise staff and achieve results through others, make quality fact-based decisions using appropriate information, and be an effective member of and lead complex project teams.
