Job Overview

Location: Southern California Region

G3 Quality, Inc. is seeking skilled Construction Quality Assurance Inspectors to support various projects across the Southern California area. We are looking for individuals who exhibit a robust work ethic and maintain a professional demeanor. The ideal candidate will possess experience in asphalt coring, concrete evaluation, and the operation of nuclear gauges within a civil engineering or materials testing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely documentation of all inspection activities and findings.
  • Daily communication and coordination with client and contractor representatives.
  • Adherence to established testing protocols and methodologies.
  • Execution of responsibilities in a safe and compliant manner.

Compensation Structure

  • Local 12 Field Inspector: $62.96 per hour
  • Local 12 Apprentice: $54.86 per hour
  • Applicable prevailing wage rates.

  • Health and welfare benefits, along with retirement and pension plans, provided through the union.
  • G3 Quality also offers a separate 401k benefit plan.

Qualifications

  • Must be a member of the Operating Engineers Local 12 union or willing to join.
  • Physically capable of lifting and/or moving up to 75 lbs regularly.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications.
  • Certification as a nuclear gauge user with HAZMAT training.
  • Current Caltrans certification in various testing methods related to soil, concrete, and hot mix asphalt.
  • Additional certifications (such as ACI, NICET, ICC, QSP) are advantageous.
