Job Summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a qualified Mental Health Therapist to join our Behavioral Health Department in Kent, King County. The successful candidate will provide diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, and case management in coordination with other teams or parties involved in treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual counseling, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment and treatment plans, and lead groups.
  • Assist the Program Manager in program development, policy and procedure development, compliance with WACs and RCWs, and other administrative tasks performed as directed.
  • Collaborate with CDMHPs, inpatient facilities, including Western State Hospital, and ensure proper protocols are followed for hospitalization authorization and during discharge planning.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work which includes coursework in psychological diagnostics.
  • Four or more years of clinical experience in the field, or up to three years for Mental Health Therapist II.
  • Meet criteria of a Mental Health Professional (MHP) and hold an active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License or mental health Associate License.
  • Minority mental health therapist as required by WAC.
