Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Recovery Village. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a critical role in helping individuals overcome addiction and achieve long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to support clients in their recovery journey
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and aftercare planning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
  • Document client progress and treatment outcomes in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as counseling or psychology
  • Minimum two years of experience in the mental health field, preferably in substance abuse counseling
  • Certification as a Chemical Dependency Professional Trainee (SUDPT) or Substance Abuse Disorder Professional (SUDP)
  • CPR-AED and First Aid certification
  • COVID-19 vaccination requirement (in compliance with state-specific mandates)
