Patient Intake Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient Intake Specialist, where you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient experiences and exceeding customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Verify patient insurance benefits and determine coverage and payer requirements
- Load benefit information correctly to facilitate clean claims and streamlined revenue
- Conduct patient interviews to gather, confirm, and input medical, insurance, and demographic information
- Assess Face to Face documentation to determine if payor requirements are met
- Evaluate the risk of shipping medical devices based on patient information, place of service, insurance validation, and government and commercial insurance requirements
- Discuss patient financial liability, set up payment plans, and provide assistance when needed
- Educate patients on the benefits of therapy and promote therapy adherence
- Accurately document events and communications in a timely manner
- Initiate the process for obtaining necessary forms, such as the TCR, ABN, and other required documents during the training process
- Provide timely follow-up with patients as needed
- Facilitate the return of medical devices when patients no longer demonstrate benefit from therapy
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in health insurance and/or durable medical equipment
- High level of reasoning ability to successfully resolve patient and business issues
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required
- Associates degree or higher
- Third-party payer experience
- Experience with TIMS
- Fluency in Spanish
We offer a competitive salary range of $41,600 to $62,400, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
