Job Summary:

The Area General Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the operational performance of multiple locations within a designated area. This role requires a strong business acumen, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive results-oriented initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain operational consistency, organizational accountability, and integrity of company policies and procedures.
  • Lead by example, embodying and empowering the company's mission, vision, and core values.
  • Deploy and drive company initiatives in the area, supporting the initiatives of the VP/Company.
  • Manage full area-level P&L, responsible for fixed and variable operations throughout the area.
  • Establish and attain annual and monthly budgets, working closely with accounting for timely and accurate month-end close.
  • Be the final say locally for employee and customer relations and satisfaction, working with HR and Legal as needed.
  • Maintain the highest standards for physical plant and operations, including safety, EH&S, operation image, cleanliness, uniforms, nametags, mudflaps, signage, stickers, vehicle, sales, parts, and service merchandising retail image.
  • Recruit and fill open staffing requirements in the area, working with HR and accounting as needed for proper onboarding and pay controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Five to ten years of progressive management experience, preferably in commercial vehicle dealerships or similar business structures.
  • Experience with DMS systems (CDK, Karmak, or Proceed) is preferred.
