Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Medix. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be responsible for performing general patient access and registration duties, including answering telephones, making appointments, and verifying patient demographics and insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
  • Make appointments and schedule patient visits
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance coverage
  • Perform general patient account management duties, including obtaining prior authorization for services and processing items in the appropriate work queues
  • Communicate with external government payors and employers, as necessary
  • Work directly with patients on billing-related matters and provide fee estimates
  • Collect co-pays and cost shares for services and process refunds
Requirements:
  • Call center experience (preferred)
  • Administrative experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Outgoing personality and flexible schedule
