This role reports to the Patient Access Supervisor or Manager. The Patient Access Representative provides patient services and administrative support in ancillary operations. They interact with parents, patients, physicians, and other staff under moderate supervision in a courteous manner. The representative collects and verifies all demographic information to ensure accuracy. They may provide required notification of scheduled and unscheduled services according to insurance provider requirements. Additionally, they may be responsible for scheduling patients for ancillary appointments. The position may be required to float to ancillary patient access areas for coverage (ED, RAD, LAB, AMSAC, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and verify demographic information to ensure accuracy
- Provide required notification of scheduled and unscheduled services according to insurance provider requirements
- Schedule patients for ancillary appointments
- Float to ancillary patient access areas for coverage
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 2 years Related experience (Required)
- Broad knowledge in administrative processes, customer service skills
- Computer knowledge necessary
- Microsoft Office experience preferred (Word & Excel)
