Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Brand and Marketing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive brand strategy that showcases our organization's mission and values. Your primary focus will be on managing our agency partnerships and marketing vendors, working closely with our team to execute a wide range of marketing initiatives, including brand storytelling, digital and social media content, email campaigns, direct mail, event marketing, and speechwriting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our agency partner and internal staff to identify opportunities to increase registration for our national and local fundraisers.
  • Meet with our Program and Relationship teams to learn about community impact stories and gather information from community members.
  • Develop and execute an annual marketing plan in collaboration with our COO and agency partner.
  • Manage a large direct mail effort as part of our comprehensive end-of-year giving campaign.
  • Lead the external and internal team to develop content strategy.
  • Write project briefs, create timelines, and manage projects through to completion.
  • Monitor metrics and optimize current social media campaigns to recruit volunteers for New Scholar selection.
  • Market to our database of over 25,000 constituents.
  • Create shot lists and oversee photography and videography vendors to ensure desired assets are obtained.
  • Dig into ways to better leverage public relations to attract high-quality, celebrity-level speakers to our Summer Symposium.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate results via compelling reports and storytelling.
Requirements
  • A passion for connecting people to the purpose of a brand.
  • Understanding of how to leverage channels and tools to achieve marketing goals.
  • Importance of purposeful communication in building, activating, and maintaining relationships.
  • Adept project management skills, with the ability to juggle priorities and run multiple projects in varying degrees of complexity.
  • Ability to advocate for resources when needed and pursue success even under shifting circumstances.
  • Keen eye for quality and detail, with the ability to encourage others to do the same.
  • Advanced abilities in written, oral, and visual communications.
  • Curious, entrepreneurial mindset with a problem-solving approach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Unrelenting positive attitude.
  • Experience in developing marketing strategy and annual marketing plans.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with an efficient approach to managing projects of varying complexity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and storytelling skills, including presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Curious problem-solver with a collaborative mindset and approach.
  • Strong, entrepreneurial work ethic.
  • Familiarity with relevant systems and data, such as Google/digital analytics, Salesforce, marketing automation, and social media management platforms.
  • Public relations experience is a plus.
  • 7+ years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, 15 work-from-anywhere days, parental leave, bereavement for immediate family, and a 401(k) with company match.
