About the RoleThis role is a critical link between our research roadmap, vendors, and AI trainers, and the Human Data engineering team building the annotation platform. As a Technical Program Manager, you will accelerate the pace of research at OpenAI by executing, designing, and orchestrating data collection campaigns. You will work closely with researchers to scope their needs, develop systems, processes, and tools, and ensure the quality and success of data collection efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with researchers to understand their needs and develop solutions
- Design and execute data collection campaigns, including onboarding processes, quality management systems, and reporting
- Work with vendors and internal Operations Specialists to scale impact
- Build and enhance systems, including dashboards, command centers, and queries to track progress
- Partner with engineers to track and implement feature requests and triage issues
- Effective thought partner to researchers, educating on how to achieve goals
- Experience creating or managing data labeling operations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and navigate ambiguity
