The Field Service Heavy Machinery Technician plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional repair services on heavy equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and effective solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute the removal and installation of components, along with disassembly and reassembly of machinery, while performing tests and adjustments with minimal oversight.
  • Utilize a variety of tools including hand tools, pneumatic tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic laptops.
  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and parts catalogs to facilitate accurate repairs.
  • Maintain a foundational understanding of engine and compressor systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to identify and rectify errors.
  • Exhibit advanced proficiency with hand tools, pneumatic tools, precision measuring devices, diagnostic software, and rigging equipment.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently to meet established performance metrics.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines as set forth by the organization.
  • Accurately complete necessary documentation and access required databases to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Comply with contamination control and hazardous materials regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and maintenance manuals, as well as compose routine reports.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic and the ability to perform calculations involving percentages, ratios, and measurements.
  • Capability to apply logical reasoning to follow instructions in various formats and address issues involving concrete variables.
  • Familiarity with database management software, internet applications, and order processing systems.
  • Valid driving record for field assignments.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to operate field vehicles.
  • Must successfully complete a DOT physical examination.
  • MSHA certification may be required.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed.
