About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Sustainability- Products to join our team at Kimberly-Clark. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our sustainability efforts and developing strategies to optimize the social and environmental impacts of our products and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Sustainability Strategies: Identify opportunities to create positive environmental and social impacts and business value via partnerships and innovation in materials, technologies, and value chain models.
  • Lead Sustainability Initiatives: Build a pipeline of sustainable products, materials, business models, and partnerships to enhance brand equity and create competitive advantage, while delivering sustainable goals.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Research & Development, Global Growth/Sector Leaders, Environment & Energy, and Segment Leaders to advance initiatives that balance business value creation and environmental and social improvements.
  • Manage Material Sustainability Topics: Assess environmental impact and fate of materials to inform business decisions and manage material sustainability topics with a focus on raw materials in packaging, product, and associated environmental impacts.
  • Represent and Communicate Sustainability Strategies: Represent and communicate product/materials sustainability strategies to senior leaders and drive integration and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our sustainability initiatives align to emerging customer, consumer needs/expectations/insights.
  • Identify and Prioritize Sustainable Opportunities: Identify and prioritize short, medium, and long-term sustainable materials and value chain innovation opportunities and prioritize based on relevance to brand, consumer, commercial partners.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Research and maintain a keen understanding of broader industry best practices and emerging technologies and developments related to sustainable materials.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in sustainability, environmental management, and business development. You should have a Bachelor's degree (or Master's degree or above) in a relevant field, such as policy, risk management, science/engineering, or related fields specific to EHS, Sustainability, or ESG. You should also have at least 15 years of experience in innovation/sustainability experience in a CPG company.
