As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer within PNC's Oracle Exadata division, you will be situated in a designated location.

Job Profile

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Oracle Exadata team. Your primary duty will be to serve as a Database Management Administrator (DMA) for PNC's Exadata systems. Responsibilities include comprehensive stack patching, resolving hardware malfunctions, and participating in performance issue discussions. The role includes an on-call rotation, and you may be required to work evenings and weekends to fulfill scheduled tasks.

Given the nature of this role, we are looking for seasoned Exadata DMAs. Familiarity with Ansible and other automation tools is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized knowledge in platform engineering while guiding the team's efforts to meet client requirements. Utilize technical expertise and industry experience to design, construct, and maintain technology solutions.
  • Develop software components and hardware for intricate projects, aligning them with business strategies and objectives.
  • Offer guidance on best practices, standards, engineering methodologies, and complex technical solutions for processes.
  • Emphasize quality enhancement initiatives; ensure that deliverables are secure, scalable, and reliable through assessment and correction.
  • Engage with clients and integrate their needs with development to achieve business goals.
