The ARC team collaborates closely with Reality Labs Research teams to deploy mid-sized GPU clusters customized to meet specific team requirements.

ARC is involved at nearly every phase of the deployment process, from hardware selection and design to deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management.

As a leading engineering unit in the enterprise sector, our mission is to establish a robust foundation and platform for Meta's business operations to develop services and manage workloads.

As an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer on the Enterprise Messaging team, you will construct the framework for our high-traffic, high-visibility services.

You will provide operational support for essential services that facilitate connected experiences across Meta. We consistently evaluate our procedures, automate where feasible, and create our own toolchains when necessary. Key Responsibilities:

As an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Constructing, scaling, and securing Meta's corporate infrastructure, with a particular focus on the Linux environment.
- Merging open-source and commercial technologies to develop impactful services for the business.
- Operating within a diverse environment comprising various operating systems and applications, ensuring seamless integration.
- Implementing modern engineering practices such as infrastructure as code, Linux container orchestration, and software-defined storage to enhance Meta's rapidly expanding Enterprise infrastructure.
- Identifying opportunities to utilize the scale and complexity of Meta's broader infrastructure to address challenges for Enterprise clients.
- Serving as the final escalation point for issues related to Enterprise Linux systems.
- Creating systems that are scalable, automated, and well-documented, while also training others to manage operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Over 5 years of system administration experience in a Linux environment.
- More than 5 years of experience in shell scripting.
- At least 5 years of coding experience in one of the following languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, or Go.
- Over 5 years of experience with monitoring and configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience supporting configuration management in a multi-region setup.
- Proven experience in building services.
- Background in developing PaaS or internal cloud solutions.
- Familiarity with job schedulers (Kubernetes, Slurm, etc.).
- Master's degree in Computer Science.

Compensation:
$137,000/year to $199,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
