The Enterprise Infrastructure & Security (EIS) team is dedicated to delivering top-tier infrastructure, data, and security services to Meta and its partners. This mission demands innovative thinking and rapid, agile solutions. We develop enterprise products tailored for Meta's unique needs. The ARC team collaborates closely with Reality Labs Research teams to deploy mid-sized GPU clusters customized for specific team requirements. Our involvement spans all deployment layers, from hardware selection and design to deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management. As a key engineering team in the enterprise sector, we strive to establish a robust foundation and platform for Meta's business services and workload management.

Responsibilities

  • Design, scale, and secure Meta's corporate infrastructure, with a primary focus on the Linux environment.
  • Integrate open-source and commercial technologies to create impactful services for the business.
  • Operate within a diverse environment featuring various operating systems and applications, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Utilize modern engineering practices such as infrastructure as code, Linux container orchestration, and software-defined storage to enhance Meta's expanding Enterprise infrastructure.
  • Leverage the scale and complexity of Meta's broader infrastructure to address challenges faced by Enterprise clients.
  • Serve as the ultimate escalation point for issues concerning Enterprise Linux systems.
  • Develop systems that are scalable, automated, and thoroughly documented, while also training others in operational procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 5 years of system administration experience in a Linux environment.
  • More than 5 years of experience in shell scripting.
  • At least 5 years of coding experience in one of the following languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, or Go.
  • 5+ years of experience with monitoring and configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing configuration in a multi-region environment.
  • Proven experience in service development.
  • Experience in building PaaS or internal cloud solutions.
  • Familiarity with job schedulers (Kubernetes, Slurm, etc.).
  • Master's degree in Computer Science.
