Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Specialist to join our team at our OrthoCarolinaMonroe office location. As a Patient Services Specialist, you will be responsible for greeting patients, preparing forms, collecting and verifying patient information, and entering data into our electronic health record system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare paperwork necessary for patient visits
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls, make appointments, and perform cashier duties as directed
  • Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and balances due
  • Follow the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested
Requirements
  • High school graduate
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year experience in a medical clinic setting
  • Good customer and computer skills, and working knowledge of insurance
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
