Position Overview:
The University of Kentucky's Internal Audit (UKIA) plays a crucial role in supporting university leadership, administration, and the Board of Trustees in fulfilling their fiduciary and administrative duties. We provide independent and objective assurance and consulting services focused on assessing risk management, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
Our mission includes identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing preventive strategies to assist the university community in adhering to established policies and maintaining exemplary standards of ethical conduct.
We are currently looking for an IT Compliance Auditor to enhance our auditing initiatives. This role encompasses conducting information technology audit activities in alignment with professional standards and our core values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate internal controls related to system configuration, information security, and compliance with regulations.
- Identify opportunities for system or process improvements.
- Develop actionable recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Assist with IT infrastructure management, including server, device, and database support.
- Contribute to departmental and organizational projects as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in IT operations, administration, management, or auditing. A solid understanding of IT governance processes, frameworks, best practices, applications, hardware, networks, databases, and related technologies is essential.
Additionally, candidates should be self-driven, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and be capable of managing multiple projects within a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
