Job Summary

UofL Health is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee capital projects and ensure the highest quality of facilities. This role will plan and organize projects to improve the environment of care, develop budgets, and provide leadership to other hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize capital projects to improve the environment of care
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets
  • Provide leadership to other hospital departments in facilities development
  • Interface with all departments to ensure efficient and high-quality work environments
  • Work with VPs to enhance the effectiveness of the facility
  • Control capital budget costs and evaluate construction and project change orders
  • Maintain project cost tracking and prepare capital budgets for future projects
  • Communicate the organization's philosophy, goals, and standards to design consultants and contractors
  • Hold project meetings and participate in community activities to promote the department and hospital image

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position with basic management experience
  • Registration or certification a plus
