Key Responsibilities

Train and supervise the Area Chief Engineers serving our communities.

Oversee the coordination of technical service providers, including assisting with bidding contracts and the monitoring of quality control.

Assist the Regional Director of Operations and the Facility Administrators with the preparation of capital budgets for the properties.

Review construction drawings to ensure all building design requirements are met.

Monitor staff efforts in the quality and timeliness of completing resident work requests.

Analyze energy usage and demand information and implement operating strategies to reduce costs.

Requirements

7 years of direct experience in the management of mechanical, electrical and plumbing operations for commercial buildings.

Experience in all aspects of mechanical, electrical, life/safety and plumbing operations in commercial buildings including safety, code compliance and technology utilization.

HVAC or electrical technical school training or equivalent experience required.

Individual must be knowledgeable in monitoring and implementing energy conservation measures in a wide variety of commercial properties.

Experience with computerized building management systems.

Experience with computerized preventive maintenance and work order systems.

Experience with the opening, staffing and commissioning of newly acquired properties.

Experience with the operating and maintenance of older buildings and systems.
