POSITION SUMMARY

- POSITION OBJECTIVE: This role is designed to provide regional vision and leadership for a dedicated team focused on transforming data into impactful insights that promote progress and innovation for agencies and communities within Lane County. The successful candidate will contribute to developing next-generation strategies utilizing a well-established and comprehensive regional dataset, cultivated through the Lane Geographic Data Consortium. Responsibilities include managing the planning, organization, and development of LCOG's GIS and analytics team and program, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. This encompasses intergovernmental coordination, strategic planning, policy development and implementation, budget management, personnel oversight, project identification, securing resources and contracts, and representing the organization at various community, state, federal, and agency meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Planning, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in projects related to the designated program area, including leadership or supervisory roles.
- Alternatively, any combination of education and experience that equips the applicant with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Planning, or a related discipline.
