Job Overview

Position: Financial Accountant

Location: Fort Worth, TX (in-office)

Employment Type: Contract to Hire or Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute monthly bookkeeping and financial management for clients.
  • Handle general accounting tasks such as journal entries, ledger maintenance, auditing, account reconciliations, and month-end accruals.
  • Formulate and implement enhanced accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the initiation and review of accounts payable transactions and settlements.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports, including variance analyses and other supporting documents for the Monthly Financial Review.
  • Support the creation of annual financial statements and related documents for statutory audits and tax filings.
  • Act as a liaison with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate internal management reporting and analysis or other ad hoc requests.
  • Prepare variance analyses as necessary.
  • Perform additional accounting and general office tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 years of accounting experience in a corporate or financial services environment.
  • Experience managing multiple entities under a single parent company.
  • Working knowledge of local taxation and statutory requirements.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Experience in logistics, freight auditing, and brokerage is highly desirable.
