About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vice President to join our Investment Banking team at Forvis Capital Advisors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for growing our practice through the execution of investment banking engagements, relationship management, and initial development of origination capabilities and contacts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and manage investment banking transactions, including preparing marketing materials, confidential memorandums, financial modeling, and providing transaction marketing support for merger & acquisition, debt and equity financing, company divestitures, and strategic options analysis engagements.
  • Client/Prospect Interaction: Develop internal and external relationships to source corporate finance transactions, prepare and deliver client/prospect presentations, and work closely with the Managing Directors and local LLP partner/managers and initiatives groups in developing client relationships and marketing strategies.
  • Marketing Support: Prepare and execute business development strategies, including participating in corporate finance-related industry conferences and public speaking opportunities, assisting in developing articles, marketing letters, news releases, and other avenues to generate exposure and build brand.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, or an MBA.
  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, business services, healthcare, food & beverage, construction/infrastructure services, technology, and/or energy.
  • Thorough understanding of capital advisory services and the M&A process, sell-side and buy-side representation, debt/equity/distressed restructurings, creating buyer/seller strategies, deal structuring, and negotiation.
  • Previous success and proven history of closing investment banking transactions (book of business contacts) and developing engagement sourcing skills.
  • Deep understanding of the capital marketplace, including deal multiples, pricing, structure, potential financing sources and buyers, and an ability to develop capital-raising strategies and execute upon those strategies.
  • Significant client interaction and experience, particularly showing the ability to develop strong and influential client relationships.
  • Travel required (up to 30 percent).
