Job Summary

The Vice President, Treasury Management Sales will oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements and coordinating with the Controllership on relevant accounting practices.

This position will lead the relationships with Osmose's banks, lenders, and investors, guiding financial policies, assessing risks, determining funding opportunities, and advising on investment opportunities.

The Treasurer will maintain and improve the company's financial standing by leading the Treasury function, including cash management, cash forecasting, and working capital management.

This role will also oversee the Tax function, including federal/state income tax, local sales/use tax, and coordinating with third-party tax consultants to minimize tax expense and timely filing of returns.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes, knowledge of financial statements, and experience with liquidity/cash management, debt, and capital markets.

They will also possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence others and explain complex financial topics in an easily digestible manner.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to identify opportunities for improvement and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.

They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong spreadsheet and financial modeling skills.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategies and policies for investing cash as appropriate
  • Anticipating cash needs and making recommendations to the CFO
  • Leading the reformation of invoicing, transforming the current process to add Quality Control steps and develop data flags to track metrics on invoice timing and accuracy
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with lenders, banks, rating agencies, external advisors, and other financial institutions
  • Establishing and managing Treasury processes with a focus on continuous improvement and digital transformation
  • Overseeing the continued implementation and integration of various technological systems and software
  • Coordinating with accounting, FP&A, and legal departments on projects, tax planning, cash repatriation, legal entity capitalization, material intercompany or third-party transactions, and agreements
  • Understanding the company's Billing process, responsible for Invoicing oversight, confirming customer receipt and acceptance, and application of customer receipts
  • Creating and communicating a clear and compelling vision within the Treasury organization, including goals and metrics to drive individual and group development
  • Implementing a development program for the Treasury staff
  • Working with the Fleet department to ensure proper accounting for leases, and potential hedging opportunities for fuel, with the Procurement department to understand the impact of commodity costs on the Company to mitigate risks with financial hedges
  • Working with the Risk department to ensure proper accounting for insurance reserves, reserve coverage assessment, allocations, budgeting, and P&L accounting
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant internal and external policies
  • Staying abreast of changes to government/agency policies/regulations affecting treasury activities

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification is strongly preferred.

They will also have experience with liquidity/cash management, debt, and capital markets, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong spreadsheet and financial modeling skills.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to identify opportunities for improvement and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.

They will also be able to work under pressure, show evidence of creative thinking, and handle complex problems in a timely manner.
